this week our company has accomplished yet another milestone, completing 17 million manhours without lost time injury. as a symbol of appreciation for the hard work (and not having any accident for the past 11 years), the company sponsored a free lunch & distributed gift certificates to every employees working in the company.
each direct-hire employees will receive 1,000 riyals worth of gift check while contractors (like me) will receive 200 riyals. since i only got 200, i am planning to buy an electric oven and a flat iron which i can use here. i checked the items at al-ghamdi est for appliances last friday & i found what i need.
it’s a beac E1800 electric oven priced at 240 riyals, meaning i need to throw some bucks to purchase it.
