American War Memorial

March 21st, 2008 · No Comments

It was Maundy Thursday when we visited the American War Memorial at Fort Bonifacio in Makati, the weather was very good for a shot. As expected, I did a panoramic shot of the grave yard dedicated to the MIA personnel (both Americans & Filipinos) of the 2nd World War. Listed here are the names of the brave Pinoy & American soldiers whose bodies were not found. The image was made of 11 separate shots & was stitched using Adobe Photoshop CS3.

It was high noon, masyadong mataas ang araw & this is a great time to take infrared shots.

The place is being maintained by the government of the United States, which explains why the place was properly maintained, seeing this one made me wish that we could also take care of our heritage sites.

It was also time for me to check our newly acquired toy, a Nikon D60, it wasn’t for me, it was for Labs, I tested some shot & I have my mini-review on my other blog.

That was my first time to go there, I wouldn’t mind going back again soon. My next post will be my journey to San Pedro Cutud in San Fernando, Pampanga to witness MALELDO ‘08.
