i was planning to post my xmas/bertdey wish today as part of my yearly blogging tradtion, but something struck me like a 4,000 megawatt lighting.
i was able to see the news last night, that’s after about 2 months of not seeing any pinoy news on tv. of course the headline is about jdv’s manipulation of the rotting philippine congress.
after failing to get the nod of the philippine supreme court on the people’s initiative petition, these power hungry, son of a bitches congressmen took matters in their own hands & changed their own fucking rules to finally convert the congress into a constituent assembly. of course the opposition & the progressive block on the congress tried to block the passage of house resolutions #197 & #1540 , but as always they lost the numbers game.
i always believe that there must be a change in the constitution, if you can recall, we hate that constitution in 1987. jimmy tadeo & the rest of the progressive block representatives even voted no on the constitution. but that’s besides the point, i believe that any action to change the constitution to prolong the hold of these blood-sucking politicians on their power is not acceptable, postponing the only democratic participation of the people in governance (election) is an act of pseudo-dictatorship.
yes, the circus is in town again, the master of the show is calling all the performers (237 congressmen & 23 senators) to sun the show & entertain the audience with political gymnastics while taking all of what they currently have.
so what shall we do instead? watch these entertainers? enjoy the show, laugh on the people on the streets? mock them with “wala na kayong magagawa?” or curse them & say “wala na kayong ginawa kundi manggulo?”
paano kapag inalis na nila ang karapatang ito? what if the check & balance on governance is non-existence? ano pa ang pwede nating gawin?
on sunday, the world will celebrate the international human rights day, natanong na ba natin ang sarili natin kung mero pa ba tayong dapat ipadiwang?

napanuod ko din itong balita na ito, masterbetong. kahit d2 na ako sa states, gigil pa rin ako sa galit sa mga pulitiko dyan sa atin na sakim. like JDV, pinipilit niyang baguhin yung saligang batas ng pilipinas, dahil pangarap din nyang maging prime minister ng bansa. ba’t ganun po sila? lagi nilang ini-insist sa mga tao na para din sa ikauunlad ng bansang pilipinas. ginagawa nilang walang utak yung mga tao’ng nakakapanuod sa kanila. pero, sa totoo lang, mas nananaig pa rin sa kanila yung pansarili nilang interest hindi yung sa ikaka-giginhawa ng mamamyang pilipino.
