day 3: sleep + movie time + canon 400d

day 3 of my holiday galore can be summed up as “nakakatamad!”

my 2nd ended with an endless talk of basketball & showbiz with my equally homesick room mate. i had to get out of the room & smoke for the pep talk to stop.

we covered ever era of philippine basketball & each of the pinoy film we could remember! damn! i can’t imagine what saudi arabia has done to my brain, i miss my brain!!!

3rd day started lazy for me, i can’t even lift my butt off my bed. my brain woke up early yet my body is still weak to function. i brewed some coffee to perk me up & hopefully wake the grease on my body. it did well.

10am & it’s movie time, i want to finish off the die hard sequel, it’s time for the famous “simon says” die hard movie that ends the trilogy. the problem is the cd f*cked up! grrr!! i hate pirated cd’s, especially those 5 in 1 or 8 in 1 sh*ts! at least 2 or 3 films won’t work out right.

i gave up john mclane’s 3rd, instead i watched ocean’s eleven while having my lunch, immediately after the movie was finished, i hit on the remote to watch ocean’s twelve but lady luck wasn’t on my side, ocean’s twelve was not in a viewing condition just like what happened to die hard 3. it’s past 1pm & i gave up my movie time, i hit my bed & went unconscious after a few minutes.

5:30pm & it’s fitness time, i woke up & prepared myself for yet another grueling & painstaking ordeal of trying to keep my body fit. i stayed longer in the jogging strip, just enough to feel the exhaustion. no pain, no gain!

after almost an hour of punishing my body i went home & rewarded myself with a warm shower & feasted myself with a nice dinner. then a took a stroll downtown & look for whatever things that i haven’t seen. everything seems familiar, nothing’s change except for the feasty atmosphere, end of ramadan is in the corner & eid al-fittr will come afterwards. the sorry site of the beggars (mostly widowed ladies) caught my attention. they lined-up with their kids begging every passers by for alms. it made me think, if a wealthy country like this could have beggars roaming around the city, who else can’t have.

i ended my walk inside the sony shop and right there & then i spotted my dream machine, a canon eos 400d digital slr, i felt the itch & asked the salesman, it costs 3,699 riyals, close to more than 48,000 pesos. i saw this once in pipho, the cost at home is almost the same. i was thinking while leaving the shop, how am i supoosed to have one of those? it cost almost twice of my monthly salary. demn! just keep on dreamin ole boy!
