I woke up with a text message from a friend, nakakagulat kasi, patay na daw ang ate n’ya. Naisip ko, a little over a month lang nung pinuntahan ko yung office nila para i-service yung naglolokong PC & now wala na siya. Flor just turned 36 last June, she left 3 sons grieving.
On the way to her wake, isa na namang text message ang natanggap ko, Lolo passed away…
Lolo Itoy passed away exactly 4 years after Lola Ising died, he was 89 years old.
Although expected na namin that this day will come, I still felt the sadness. We didn’t spend much time with him, medyo malayo yung house niya sa amin, when we were young, we used to call him “Tatay Layo” dahil nga sa distance. I cherish the time na isinakay niya ako sa kalabaw, ipinagpitas ng mangga at ipinasyal sa bukid. Maraming memories na maiiwan si Lolo sa akin, the few times na nakasama ko siya, I will really miss you…
