demn! i miss my slr camera! shooting with my point & shoot camera is like digging a well with a spoon!

the problem with a low-end point & shoot camera is you can’t set it to manual setting, you can’t set the shutter speed & it’s aperture, thus giving you limited access to creativity. but i dared, i need to exploit the limited times where my creativity is at it’s peak.

kapag nag-iisa at walang magawa, naglaro ang isipan ko, it invites a lot of crazy idea, one of which is the thought of shooting a self-portrait, not a portrait that would clearly show my basic features (i.e. face etc.) but the one shot in the dark, i would like to call it as home alone.

using my canon powershot a400, i set it into indoor shooting, turned of the flash, white balance setting into tungsten & set the iso setting to 600. i then turned off all the lights in the house except my incandscent lamp shade (which matches with my white balance setting). this is the best setting for this kind of shot since i have no control on the aperture & shutter speed.

ang problema, wala akong tripod! ipinatong ko ang camera sa computer table (na walang computer) & took one small box to make it higher. all set, i set the timer to 10 seconds & clicked the shutter.

it was not the most beautiful shot in the world but it satisfied my creativity (kung meron man), i always love taking silhouette shots as much as i love playing while capturing lights. kung interesado kayong makita, pindutin mo ito.
