Vantage Point

Our last stop was at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Laguna Campus, two places were identified for a photo ops, bad news was, we weren’t allowed to enter in both places. Our last resort was to proceed to the football ground also inside the campus.

Some of us find it good to take some snacks while others were shooting the landscape, macros, people & other interesting subject.


Most of us were shooting the models, a forum member brought in 4 models (2 girls & 2 boys), it’s an x-deal, we don’t have to pay for the models, everyone is free to shoot, the only consolation for them is to give them copies of the photos for their portfolio.

Model shoot is not really my cup of tea, besides can you imagine how hard it will be to squeeze into those model hungry photographers?! Hahahaha! Landscape & nature is my thing, as I mentioned in a post in my other blog, I experimented on taking panoramic photo & of course some action shots.

A group of BMX bikers were exhibiting their skills, together with other photographers, we asked them to do their thing & we will be shooting them, they easily gave in to our request.

The Batangas leg has been dropped due to time constraint, our activity ended in a hefty dinner at the Palaisdaan Restaurant. It was a different experience for most of the participant, for those who are not used to riding the bus, Bonamine tablet proved to be a good friend.

I would say that using a bus in a road trip has more cons than pros, it travels slower than a convoy of cars, squeezing into tight municipal roads was very hard to deal & I believe that it was less productive given the fewer stops.

Overall, it was fun, while in UP, the plan of another road trip was being planned, I hope it’ll push through.
