This might be the dilemma of Mr. Federico Samson, the most recent Filipino victim in Iraq. Para sa iba katangahan ang ginawa niya, that despite the warnings & ban for the workers not to go to Iraq, pinilit pa rin n’yang makarating doon.
I don’t know this man, in fact I only heard (or read) his name from the news, but like me, isa rin siyang manggagawa, a worker that was not given good opportunity back home. A father who wants to give his children the best he could give no matter what the price maybe.
Ayon kay Sec. Romulo at Sec. Sto. Tomas, Victim ignored Iraq ban, says DFA, I guess tama sila, Samson clearly defied government’s ban of going to Iraq, but you can’t do nothing when your jobless for 4 years.
The basic problem of Filipinos are opportunity, kung walang oportunidad sa atin upang buhayin ang pamilya, naniniwala akong hindi si G. Samson ang huling biktima. The politicians kept on quarreling about non-sense thus leaving behind their duty to provide good life to the people who voted them.
