The Nikon Club Philippines was launched today. More or less 170 Nikon users gathered in one roof to share their passion.

I was not about to attend the party if not because of Melo & Eunice (thanks! continue reading to understand why), Melo texted me yesterday night & asked me if I can possibly meet them & give them the proof (raw pics) of their wedding. In short, I said yes. I met the newly weds in Glorietta in Makati, a few blocks away from the NCP grand launch venue.

The launch happened at Gerry’s at Jupiter Street, Makati City.


When I had a chat with Raffy Uy, Incumbent Chairman of the Club, they were expecting around 70 attendees but reserved the venue for 150 persons, his unofficial count was at 170 people.

Big time Nikon users like, Lito Sy, Jerry Tieng, Ken Go were present at the launch.

At first, I can’t believe that the membership is only 500 Pesos for a year, a registered member will get a official ID card, a pin, a bumper sticker & a tee shirt.

Besides all the freebies, there was a free (hefty) lunch (buffet style) for everyone. Sponsors also donated items for the raffle, Sun Cellular gave 20 prepaid sims & a Nokia phone, battery chargers from Energizer, Columbia Digital Sales Company (CDSC) donated 2 SB400’s, Nikon Bags, FM10 film camera, F55 film camera, Nikon D40x & AF-S Nikkor 18-200VR which I won!

See, that’s why I’m thanking Melo & Eunice, hehehehe! I didn’t have the lens yet, I need to pick it up from CDSC in Quezon City, the last time I checked the price of this lens, it was at 25k. Hmmm… I need to go to CDSC as soon as possible!

The experience of having fellowship with the people whom you share not just the same passion but enjoying the same brand is different & overwhelming. Looking forward to more sharing & meeting these people.
