I have always been amazed by macro shots, this is one field of photography that I want to try in the future. It’s amazing how a camera can capture the 1:1 maginification with precision & accuracy, lalo na ang mga detalyeng hindi nakikita sa unang tingin.
Kahit na wala akong macro lens sinubukan ko pa rin ang limits ng aking kit lens, I tried shooting some tiny creatures sa garden namin. Here are some shots that I did.

Spidey (1/200″, 5.6, ISO400 @135mm)
I shot this one yesterday, sagad na yung kit lens ko pero di ko pa rin ma-achieve yung gusto ko, 1:2 kasi ang magnification ratio ng lente ko, nonetheless, malapit pa rin ito sa katotohanan.
The next 2 photos were taken in January, na-post ko na rin yata ito dito, I just want to demonstrate my current capability.

Crawling (1/250″, 5.6, ISO1600 @135mm)

King of the Web (1/200″, 5.6, ISO250 @135mm)
This one was about 2 months old, natuwa lang ako sa atangyang nakasabit sa dahon ng kalabasa, medyo hindi sharp ang kuha pero pagtiyagaan nyo na lang muna.

Hanging Tough (1/15″, 5.6, ISO400 @135mm)
Medyo may kamahalan ang macro lense, lalo na yung prime (fixed focal length) lens, hay naku, tyaga muna sa ganyang kuha! Hehehe!

Mas maganda nga mag-invest sa prime lenses kesa sa a-ok na lens. At least ito you could use for a long time kahit magpalit palit ng body. Kaya ipon na!
