Karir na ito! I decided to further enhance my capability as a photographer, during the last few photo-eb’s that I’ve attended, I saw what’s lacking. I bought 3 must haves, a battery grip, zoom lens & speedlight (flash).

First, an MB-D80 battery grip, the grip house 2 EN-EL3e battery or 6AA batteries, this will prolong my shooting capability. With 1 EN-EL3e attached to my camera, it can shoot up to 800 images, imagine what 2 EN-EL3e can do?

Second, a Nikon AF Nikkor 70-300mm 1:4-5.6G lens bought for a longer zoom, my current (kit) lens is up to 135mm only, with this an additional 165mm will be covered. The “G” (Glass) model is the cheapest lens that nikon has produced, having the additional “ED” & “VR” (Vibration Reduction) suffix would triple (or maybe more) it’s price.

Lastly, an SB800 Speedlight, as we all know, photography is all about light, a balance of brightness & contrast. I’ll be needing this since I’ll be doing event photography particulary weddings.

So why did I bought this, I was contracted by a wedding photographer here to be his back-up photographer. At last, I will earn something from what I like doing, the event will happen next week. Also, we were about to shoot (as extra photographer) today, but for whatever reason, Niko did not show up to meet us (Matt & Me).

Good thing that there was an earlier event, a motorshow dubbed as “Petron Xtra Auto Focus People’s Choice Awards.” I went there with Matt & fellow PiPhol to shoot & test drive my new equipments. Here’s what I captured.
