It was raining cats & dogs last Friday, which, made me contemplate on covering the Aliwan Fiesta.
But Saturday came & the sun was high up in the sky & it was hot, I went on with my plan of covering the event. It was noon when I arrived at the Quirino Grandstand, the event’s assembly area, I started shooting the entries for the best float.
It was around 1PM when I met with my fellow PiPho forumers, we went on shooting despite the harsh sun almost burning our skins.
It was then when we decided to leave the area, according to the marshals, there will be no performance at the grandstand, we went to the Rajah Sulaiman Park in Malate instead. Of course, we went on shooting.
While shooting, the rain came pouring, we decided to take shelter from the nearest Shakey’s Pizza Parlor & waited for the rain to stop.
It was past 4PM when the sun finally came out, as they say, the show must go on. The parade started at around 5PM and honestly, I hardly had a good shot, the lighting was bad (if there was) & flash photography was hard (for me).

Present ka na naman pala dyan sa event na yan master… Next year uwi nga ako ulit before May…
By the way, buti nalang may nasilungan kayo… kung wala, malamang pasmado kayo! Bilad sa init habang nagkukuha nang mga litrato tapos nabuhos ang ulan… Paktay!
