The Ibon Foundation conducted a survey last July 12 & 13, 8 out of 10 Metro Manila resident believe that President GMA will not carry out the promises she will make in her SONA speech.
On the other hand, based on the July 1-14 Pulse Asia survey, 40% believe that there will be no truth in GMA’s SONA, only 14% responded that GMA will be telling the truth while the remaining 46% is uncertain about what GMA will be telling in her speech.
OK, survey doesn’t really reflect the real sentiment of the nation, but I believe that there’s a shadow of truth on them.
Personally, I’m wondering how GMA will make something believable despite the publics outrage on issues pertaining to her government’s policy.
The SONA has always been a venue for grandstanding, false hope & worst a fashion show for the congressional spouses. Nothing in the past SONA reflected the genuine “State of the Nation.”
The true state of the nation is what an ordinary Juan dela Cruz have on his table, how much money he’s earning on a hard day of work how far can he send his children to school. These are basic necessities that this government failed to address.
These are the issues that I believe to be of urgency & importance, food, shelter, education & most importantly work security. Will she give priority on these? I don’t believe so.

never ko pa nasubaybayan ang kahit isa sa mga sona ni pgma.
kung totoo man, naku, patunayan talaga niya un, naku…hirap na hirap na ang pilipinas….

pero ok na din na may sona, wala kasi kaming pasok , matrapik kasi sa commonwealth ave. ahehehehe
